Wedding Photography in Korea a Booming Business

Korea wedding photography
South Korea, commonly known as Korea, is a highly traditional country but traditions are changing there as in most countries around the world.

One such tradition is marriage. It used to be that weddings would take place in the yard or garden of the bride’s home before the groom would come on a horse and carry his future wife back to his parents’ home.

Some still do that, but not as much as before. Today, nearly half of South Korea’s total population lives in and around the capital, Soul. That’s a whopping 25 million or so. Add to that the fact that South Korea is a very developed country. People make good wages and South Korea has Asia’s highest median per capita income.

So, it is no surprise that Korea wedding photography business is booming. Couples with money to splash can enjoy the customary outdoor Korean pre-wedding photoshoots or simple go to one of the many established Korean wedding photo studios.

Also booming is the business of wedding organizers who advise on and arrange anything from photography and flowers to catering and even finding appropriate wedding halls. Many of these businesses nowadays offer Korea wedding package that include all those services.

While most people can have wedding on a relatively inexpensive budget, some major hotels offer all-inclusive packages that start at $100,000.

South Korea is considered by many as the economic gem of the region and many professions have seen healthy growth in the past years. One reason for the growth of sectors such as wedding organizers and associated businesses is that they have managed to diversify their services. While the old-fashioned Koreans can continue to perform their ceremonies at bride’s yard, the more Western-oriented families can enjoy a wedding that any affluent couple in London, Paris r New York would.
